In November 11, 2020, an international conference on "Post-COVID: Globalization trends" organized by the Economic Research Institute (ERI) was held online. Leading economists from Kazakhstan, the United States, Germany, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Turkey and Poland took part in the discussion on the issues of integration development and the global economy.

The speakers were Professor, Associate Professor of Kocaeli University (Turkey) Fatih Akbulut, Lecturer of the University of Lodz (Poland) Adam Suchetsky, Professor of the Netherlands Business Academy Jan van Zwiten, American writer and economist John Perkins and Director of the World Economy Research Center of the Institute for Economic Research Dolores Tyulebekova.

In his speech, J. Perkins noted the need to build a new economic system based on environmental sustainability and new technologies. D. Tyulebekova spoke about the main challenges of international trade in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection and the role of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in reducing the impact of the consequences of the current global crisis. Jan van Zwieten elaborated on the future prospects of globalization processes and the transformation of the role of transnational corporations in the world economy. F. Akbulut noted the importance of forming an effective regional policy as a factor of economic development. A. Sukhetskiy spoke about the problems and prospects for the development of economic integration associations in the context of the fight against the coronavirus crisis.
