In November 10, 2020, the autumn session of the VIII International Forum "Eurasian Economic Perspective" was held in St. Petersburg. The forum was organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States, the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, the Committee on External Relations of St. Petersburg, and the Eurasian Association of Universities.
The forum program included an opening session and three round tables: "Development of economic integration interaction in the post-Soviet space for the period up to 2030 in the context of a new pandemic dimension", "Greater Eurasia: opportunities for the formation of an integration contour" and "Integration aspects of the development of the EAEU and the CIS in the legal sphere : modern challenges and trends ”. The forum was attended by well-known statesmen, scientists, experts from the EAEU and CIS countries, representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, including: Igor Maksimtsev, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Viktor Sadovnichy, Rector of Moscow State University, Evgeny Grigoriev, Chairman of the Committee on to external relations of St. Petersburg, Gohar Barseghyan, Director of the EEC Integration Development Department, Alexander Sidorovich, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Eurasian Association of Universities, Mikhail Khazin, a well-known expert-economist.
The Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies was represented by Chief Research fellow Vyacheslav Dodonov, who spoke at the round table "Development of economic integration interaction in the post-Soviet space for the period up to 2030 in the context of a new pandemic dimension" with a report on "New quality of EAEU financial institutions for a new reality: the main approaches and directions of implementation ".
