On February 28, 2018 the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan hosted the international conference "Kazakhstan-Russia: an alliance looking to the future" attended by a number of top officials, prominent academics and extorts of Kazakhstan and Russia.

On February 22-23, 2018 Astana hosted the international conference "25th Anniversary of EU-Central Asian Relations: from the past to the future" organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan. The event gathered more than 150 participants from the EU and Central Asian countries including representatives of the diplomatic missions, international organizations, civil society, business associations, as well as experts and academics, public intellectuals and journalists.

The General Meeting of the National Academy of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty. The event was attended by academicians, corresponding members, honorary members of the Academy, the rectors of universities, directors of research institutes, and the media.

On January 31, 2018, KAZISS expert Anna Alshanskya took part in the Round Table discussion on the President's Address to the Nation "The Fourth Industrial Revolution" held in the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan, moderated by Deputy Director of the Library, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov.

On January 30, 2018, the "Role of Think Tanks in Kazakhstan" conference was held within the framework of the Why Think Tanks Matter forum organized by the Economic Research Institute in cooperation with the Institute of World Economy and Politics under the Foundation of the First President and the Ministry of Economy of Kazakhstan.
