On September 29, 2021, in the House of Friendship of the capital, a dialogue platform was held with representatives of religious associations and NGOs in the city of Nur-Sultan on the topic: "A secular state and interfaith harmony is the basis of Independence." The event was organized by the Center for the Study of Religions in Nur-Sultan.

Representatives of government agencies, research and analytical centers, universities, religious associations and NGOs took part in the work of the dialogue platform.

Director of the Center for the Study of Religions in Nur-Sultan Madi Taipin, Chairman of the Presidium of the Anti-Terrorism Committee Amanzhol Orazbayev, Associate Professor Religious Studies ENU. L.N. Gumilyov Tyshkan Keushilik, chief imam of the mosque "Uziret Sultan" Yerbolat Zhusipov, archpriest of the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church of Nur-Sultan Dmitry Baydek, Deputy Archbishop of the Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of the Catholic Church of St. Mary -Lutheran Church Yuri Novgorodov.

On behalf of the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Madina Bektenova, a leading research fellow of the Department of Social and Political Studies, made a speech at the event as a speaker.

Following the discussion, the participants in the dialogue platform voiced their ideas and proposals for further strengthening interfaith dialogue, developing new approaches and formats for cooperation between government bodies, non-governmental organizations and religious associations for the benefit of a common home - Kazakhstan.
