On September 30, 2021, at the site of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an international scientific and practical conference "30 years of the foreign policy of independent Kazakhstan" was held, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Tuleutay Skakovich Suleymenov, a well-known Kazakhstani diplomat, the first Minister of Foreign Affairs in the history of Independent Kazakhstan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor of the Institute of Diplomacy of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a prominent statesman and public figure of Kazakhstan.

Suleymenov Tuleutay Skakovich is the first foreign minister in the history of Independent Kazakhstan, who made a significant contribution to the formation and strengthening of sovereign Kazakhstan, the creation of a free and independent foreign policy of the country, the opening of the broad infrastructure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs abroad. The merits of the hero of the day were marked with state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign states - Afghanistan, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, etc.

On the expert platform of the Academy, scientists and practitioners, state and public figures in the year of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan summed up the development of the foreign policy course of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the period of Independence.

The event dedicated to the hero of the day was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shahrat Nuryshev; Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Baghdad Amreev; Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybai; Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science and technology, Corresponding Member of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kabilolla Sarekenov; Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science and technology Arystan Gazaliev; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel Satybaldy Burshakov; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium Margulan Baimukhan; Konstantin Shuvalov, Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Organizations of Muslim States; Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences L.N. Gumilyov Baubek Somzhurek. The conference was moderated by the rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Abil.

Deputy Director Alua Zholdybalina took part in the conference on behalf of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She read out the congratulatory address of the director of the KazISS, in which the special qualities of T.S. Suleymenov as a highly qualified diplomat, international relations specialist, specialist in foreign policy and international relations, who made a significant contribution to strengthening the independence of Kazakhstan, to the development of its political and state structure.
