In November 17, 2020, at the site of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies (ISMI, Uzbekistan), an expert online conference was held on the topic: "The main results of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO"

The event was attended from Uzbekistan by Daniyar Kurbanov, director of the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sanzhar Valiev, Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies and leading experts of ISRS. Kyrgyzstan was represented by Muratbek Imanaliev, advisor to the director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS), Igor Shestakov, chairman of the Pikir Club of Regional Experts. Tajikistan was represented by Muhammadzoda Parviz Abdurahmon, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Studies, China - Sun Zhuangzhi, Director of the Institute for Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Russia - Dina Malysheva, Head of the Central Asia Sector at the Center for Post-Soviet Studies, IMEMO RAS, Andrey Kazantsev, Chief Researcher at MGIMO. The Indian side was represented by Atar Zafar, Senior Fellow, Indian Council on International Affairs, Pakistan - Minaheel Shawal Afridi, Research Fellow, Center for Global and Strategic Studies.

From Kazakhstan, Sanat Kushkumbayev, Deputy Director of the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the event, who in his speech highlighted the vision of the implementation of the geo-economic component of the SCO activities, in particular, the action plan adopted at the last organization summit for the implementation of the SCO development strategy until 2025. Under these conditions, it is of great importance to intensify efforts to create an SCO investment fund, which will serve as an important financial instrument to stimulate intraregional trade and economic cooperation of the participating countries.

In addition, by joint efforts it is necessary to create favorable conditions for the development of the digital economy in the SCO space. The transport and communication sphere is a favorable platform for interaction with the SCO member states, acting as an important unifying factor.
