The fourth issue of the scientific and analytical journal “Central Asia’s Affairs” No. 4 (84) 2021 was published at the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan http://journal-caa.kisi.kz/index.php/caa/issue/view/34

We remind our dear readers and authors that the Central Asia's Affairs magazine was included in the list of publications recommended by the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for publishing the main results of scientific activities in the field of International Relations.

Central Asia's Affairs has its own website at http://journal-caa.kisi.kz/index.php/caa/index, where the archive of the journal is located, information on the composition of the editorial board, a guide for authors on the design of the manuscript is provided.

All materials submitted to Central Asia’s Affairs are tested for anti-plagiarism and blind peer review.

The following articles are published in the fourth issue of the journal:

  • “What After: Central Asian Militant-Extremist Groups and Drug Trafficking After the Fall of Kabul,” by S. Elliot, R. Hoagland and D. Lehmann of The Caspian Policy Center (Washington, USA). The article analyzes the risks of the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan for the countries of Central Asia.
  • Potential opportunities for increasing the interconnectedness between the CICA member states in the field of security", prepared by A. Abdreshev, a research fellow at the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The article examines in detail the activities of the CICA in each separate region, as well as analyzes the possibilities of strengthening the interconnection between the members of the Forum.
  • "Analysis of the regulatory and legal aspects of the delimitation of the Kazakh-Russian border", prepared by the authors A. Ibraeva and A. Satbayeva. The article examines the main milestones of the legal framework for the delimitation and demarcation of the borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
  • “Coupling of Chinese Railways in Central Asia and Their Future”, by S. Uralbaev and A. Ermekbaev. The article examines the current state and future scenario of the routes of Chinese rail lines through Central Asia and Afghanistan, taking into account the Taliban regime.
  • "Environmental activism: trends and prospects", prepared by the experts of the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Bektenova, A. Akesina. The article examines topical issues of environmental activism, which today plays an important role in overcoming misunderstandings between scientists, politicians, the media and the public on environmental issues.

Currently, work is underway to form the 1st issue for 2022.
