On January 26, 2018 in Astana there was held the familiarizing conference "Spirit of the XIX CPC National Congress". At the conference there were presented the results of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China which was held in October 2017.

During the event participants were able to get acquainted with the report of Chinese Leader Xi Jinping presented at the Congress "To secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era".

 A detailed report was made by Director of the Party Literature Research Centre of the CPC Central Committee Len Rong. In his speech he highlighted the strategic directions of the activities of the CPC. The conference was also attended by Director of the Department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Qian Naicheng, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan Liu Jianping and others.

At the event there were attended representatives of state bodies, analytical structures, universities and other organizations of Kazakhstan, in particular, Member of the Committee for Economic Reform and Regional Development of Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Azat Peruashev, Member of Agrarian Issues Committee of Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Aikyn Konurov, Deputy director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Timur Shaymergenov, Director of the Center for Political Analysis and Strategic Studies of the Party "Nur Otan" Julia Kuchinskaya and others.

Among the participators at the conference there were also the experts from the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KazISS): Lyazzat Nurkatova, Bolat Tokabayev, Kambat Nurgaliyeva and Gulnaz Sanhaeva.
