of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

Unity of the people and systemic reforms are a solid foundation for the nation’s prosperity

Our course is immutable, the goal is clear. We know what must be done to achieve it

Under the leadership of B.K. Sultanov, KazISS achieved great results in many areas of the Institute during 2006-2011 years.

Meetings with experts from Western, Asian and CIS countries were held to develop external cooperation of KazISS.

Regional security studies focused on Central Asian issues have developed according to the results of the annual Almaty Forum. Kazakhstan’s role there at that stage is increasing every year.

The Forum has become a platform for exchange of views on topical issues of regional security between leading domestic experts and experts from the CIS, Europe and China. During this period, KazISS has been actively contributing to internal politicalsultan

research aimed at developing parliamentarism related to the 2007 constitutional reform results. KazISS actively participated in the 2007 parliamentary elections and under its own auspices initiated the ‘dialogue platform’ for political parties, experts and journalists.

In 2010, KazISS strengthened relations with international organizations and experts. Meetings with representatives of the United Nations and the head of leading geopolitical consulting company Thomas Graham, leaders of Kissinger Associates (USA) were held.
